War causes suffering.
But the impact that war has on people’s mental health is still hard to measure.
Ukrainian refugees may be suffering from combat stress, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.
We are offering up to six free counselling sessions in Surrey for Ukrainian refugees.
We can’t change that facts and events of what has happened.
But we can help to change how that feels to the individual
What Are Common Symptoms
Mental health issues affect different people in different ways.
Common symptoms of issues may include:
- Difficulty sleeping
- Flashbacks to traumatic moments, where it feels like you are still there.
- Feeling angry
Surrey Counselling Therapies
We don’t speak Ukrainian, so may need an interpreter.
However, we offer more than talk therapy, so this can make the work easier.
Our approaches can include Havening and EFT, which can be very powerful in helping with traumas and anxiety.
